Creating Cozy Spaces with Raw Material and Clean Line Design

Inspired by the concept of simplicity and elegance, Origin Design, led by designer Chiung-Ho Su, has created a residential space that combines raw materials and clean lines to provide a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The design aims to evoke a sense of tranquility and nostalgia, while also incorporating elements of fashion and nature.

One of the unique features of this design is the use of different types of marble for the walls and floors of each space. This not only creates a visually stunning effect but also highlights the natural beauty and color variations of the stone. The minimalistic approach to decoration allows the materials to shine and adds a touch of fashion to the overall design.

To enhance the natural aesthetic, Origin Design incorporates a variety of materials such as leather, glass, and metal. These elements, along with the use of gray and achromatic colors in the open spaces, create a harmonious and visually pleasing environment. The leather covering in the bedroom and dressing room adds richness and texture, while the inlay titanium produces a sparkling and brilliant fashion atmosphere.

The design also focuses on creating a space that promotes interaction and communication. The kitchen, living room, and study room are combined to encourage family members to freely communicate and spend time together. A gray glass door separates the private and public areas, providing a sense of privacy without interrupting the continuity of the space.

The Origin Design project was completed in October 2017 in Taipei, Taiwan. The design team conducted extensive research to understand the needs and preferences of the clients, who were an immigrant couple longing for a quiet and peaceful place in the bustling city. The design aimed to evoke a sense of mental quietness and emotional softness in the spaces.

This innovative design by Origin Design has been recognized for its excellence and creativity. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2018. This award is given to designs that meet professional and industrial requirements, integrating industry best practices and competent technical characteristics.
